The Future of Gaming Takes Center Stage at Shawnee Game Conference 2024

The 2024 Shawnee Game Conference was a milestone event, bringing nearly 1,000 attendees to the Shawnee State campus—the highest participation we’ve seen since before COVID-19. This year’s conference was a celebration of the thriving gaming and tech community, with something for everyone, from budding developers to experienced industry professionals.

A highlight of the conference was our Student Showcase, where Shawnee State student game developers and artists exhibited their work, sharing their innovative projects and creative designs with attendees. Also featured were the Shawnee XP Accelerator studios, which drew crowds eager to experience the next wave of indie games coming out of our accelerator program.

The expo hall was bustling with local and regional merchants, alongside developers and industry exhibitors. In a true festival atmosphere, the food truck court served up local flavors, offering attendees a place to refuel and connect.

The speaker lineup was stellar, featuring industry leaders like Renee Gittins, Ben Kvalo, and Ben Carcich. Their insights on the future of gaming and technology captivated audiences, sparking meaningful discussions and providing a valuable perspective to aspiring developers and seasoned pros alike.
