Welcome to the SSU Kricker Innovation Hub – your space for creativity, entrepreneurship, and hands-on learning. Whether you’re interested in starting a business, learning new skills, or collaborating with like-minded students, we have the resources to support you.

📍 Location: Kricker Innovation Hub, 221 Chillicothe St, Portsmouth, OH
🕘 Hours: Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
💳 Access: Free for all SSU students – just check in at the front desk!

The Hub Underground Digital Makerspace

A hands-on space for prototyping, digital creation, and tech exploration!

• 3D Printing (Filament & Resin) – Bring your designs to life

• Laser Cutting with Glowforge – Precision cutting & engraving

• Merge Cubes & Coding Kits – Learn and experiment with AR/VR

• Audio & Podcast Equipment – Record your next project or podcast

• Video Equipment – For filming and editing content

• Tech Support & Guidance – Staff available to help

• Startup Weekend Portsmouth – Work with a team to launch a business in 54 hours

• ShawneeXP Gaming Accelerator – Learn how to turn game design into a business

• Shawnee Game Conference - Attend the oldest academic gaming conference in the Midwest

• Tech Tuesday – Learn about 3D printing, coding, cybersecurity, and more

• Speaker Series – Connect with entrepreneurs and industry leaders on topics of special interest such as AI, Food Trucks, Social Media Marketing and more

• Coffee at the Kricker - Network with community members and enjoy free coffee and snacks each Monday morning at 8AM

• Lunch & Learns - Build your portfolio and learn new skills to take your resume to the next level

• Entrepreneur Fellows Program - Register for a one year fellowship designed to introduce students to entrepreneurial and innovative thinking
