The Kricker Innovation Hub is excited to announce our first speaker series of Fall 2019!
Dr. Alex Bandar is an engineer by training, and an entrepreneur by accident. After having worked for ten years in the field of manufacturing software, with clients from GE to Apple to Toyota, he founded the Idea Foundry in Columbus, one of the world’s largest makerspaces.
The Idea Foundry is a 60,000 sq ft maker space in Columbus, Ohio with 800+ members and growing rapidly. The Idea Foundry houses tools from blacksmithing to 3D printing, teaches classes on design and fabrication, and sells memberships to anyone who wishes to use the workshop as if it were their own. The Idea Foundry’s mission is to create a space and community where people can come together and bring their ideas to life; and Alex Bandar isn’t stopping in Columbus, he’s also currently helping to bring several new makerspaces into existence in various cities.
If you’re interested in learning more about one of the most active makerspaces on the planet we encourage you to come listen to him speak about his entrepreneurial journey and the maker movement on September 26, 2019 at 5:30 pm.
